These first couple weeks in Broadcast Tech have been so fun! We went into our school's new TV Studio and learned how to use all the equipment. It's really cool because now I can say I know how to do these things. There were eight different jobs that we learned how to do. My favorite job was probably the soundboard. The soundboard did mic checks, helped run AJA, and made sure the sound was at the right volume the whole time. I think I liked it a lot because I felt like I was contributing a lot to the production. It also looked really cool. Another job that I really enjoyed doing was the Director. The Director was basically in charge of telling everyone what to do and when to do it. I think I liked it because of that. One job I wasn't very fond of was the anchor. It was hard for me because I would mess up while reading the teleprompter. The lights also really hurt my eyes. It was really bright! To see my attempt at this job go to my video page! Overall, it was a really cool experience learning all of these different jobs.

My first Broadcast Technology project was a success! I used the video editing app iMovie. It was my first time making a trailer, but the template helped me so much. I could just put in the pictures to show all of you my favorite things and people! I really liked working with iMovie because although I hadn't used the trailer feature, I was still familiar with a lot of things on iMovie and that really helped me. Something I would probably change about my iAm video is that I would probably add in some videos from my GoPro. Unfortunately, my GoPro wasn't cooperating and I was not able to upload the footage to my iMovie. If I could have figured that out I feel my video could have been much better. Even without the videos, I really like this video I put together and wanted to share it with you all! To see the video go to my video page. Enjoy! |
